Bike Roadways of Vancouver

Map of the bike roadways of vancouver tour

Metro Vancouver has favourable conditions for year-round cycling due to a mild marine climate with a limited number of snow days.  The City of Vancouver in particular is well known for its strong support for leading edge cycling facilities and is now working to make cycling appealing to people of all ages and abilities.  Facilities include shared facilities, local street bike ways, separated bicycle lanes in the downtown core and more.

Key takeaways include:

  • A discussion of the considerations for cycling accommodation within the existing right-of-way constraints.
  • Creative approaches for cycle accommodation, particularly at intersections.
  • A review of how the design objectives have been achieved under operating conditions.

Get on a bike and join the tour. See beautiful Vancouver from the perspective of a bicycle! For more information about bicycling in Vancouver, refer to the City of Vancouver's page on Biking and Cyclists in the City.
